Parker Institute celebrates longtime partner at gala
Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care
and Rehabilitation held their 2018 Gala
fundraising dinner on Oct. 18 in the
Grand Ballroom of the Queens Museum,
Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.
Th e Gala, in celebration of the
Institute’s 111 year anniversary, also honored
Carrier Corporation, one of Parker’s
long-time strategic partners. Accepting
Parker’s Humanitarian Award was John
S. Moore, PE, Carrier Sales Manager, New
York Metropolitan Area.
Peter Seideman, Parker’s Chairman,
welcomed the 300 dinner guests. He congratulated
Moore for Carrier’s long-time
service and support of Parker’s mission.
“Our partnership with Carrier has
made it possible to pursue an unwavering
commitment to deliver superior patient
care in a warm and supportive environment,
which has been the Parker mantra
since our 1907 founding,” Seideman said.
“Th e needs of our senior population --
the nation’s largest -- makes your support
more critical than ever,” added Parker
President Michael Rosenblut. “Th ey
might be at Parker’s facility for sub-acute
care, short term rehabilitation, social
adult day care, home health care, hospice,
or our on-site dialysis clinic, Queens-
Long Island Renal Institute. Perhaps
they’re clients of our medical transport
service, Lakeville Ambulette, or AgeWell
New York, a managed long term care plan
which we founded.”
