Buyer Agent —
A buyer agent
represents the

sale. The buyer
agent shows

transaction.
Listing (Seller’s) Agent — A listing agent is hired by and
represents the seller. Listing agents represent the
sellers’ interests in the transaction, prepping and marketing
a home for sale.
Real Estate Agent — A real estate agent is a professional
with a real estate license who works under a real estate
broker and assists both buyers and sellers in the
home-buying process.
Real Estate Broker — A real estate broker is a real estate
agent who has taken education beyond the agent level
as required by state laws and has passed a broker’s
license exam.
REALTOR® — A real estate agent or broker
who is a member of the National Association
of REALTORS®, which means that he or she
must uphold the standards of the association
and its code of ethics. Not every salesperson
with a license to sell real estate is a REALTOR®.

and keeps up with their membership and education.
