The projects created will focus on telling the powerful and moving stories of New York City immigrants as part of a Cultural Immigrant Initiative through the NYC Council and Department of Cultural Affairs. The visit to GCHS was part of the John Lennon Educational Bus’ monthlong Come Together: NYC tour — a tour of peace, love and creativity — as New Yorkers are invited to come together to create original music, videos, poetry and art around their A World Leader in Education at an event hosted by the Lennon Bus at the Museum of Moving Image. The John Lennon Educational Bus is a nonprofit, state-of-the-art mobile Pro Audio and HD video recording facility that provides hands-on experiences for students of all ages. It is in its 19th year of touring and features the latest audio and video technology, gear and products.
