CANCER: the scarier ‘c-word’. Chances are you either have been
personally affected or know someone who has been terrorized by
this tiny group of abnormal cells that cause big problems. For breast
cancer, the statistics are 1-in-8 women will receive the news that will
change the course of their lives forever. At Walk-In GYN, there is a
case of breast cancer diagnosed, on average once a week.
So, while it’s great to wear pink, and share posts on social media,
it’s time for us women to come together and take action. Get your
yearly mammogram. Do self-checks at home in the breast and armpit
regions. And if it all seems too scary and you don’t know where to
begin, just walk in.
