 Whitestone yacht club 
 Cops are looking for two boozy buccaneers  
 who broke into a yacht club in a  
 well-to-do part of Whitestone and stole  
 liquor bottles from a ferry docked there. 
 Authorities say that at 10:18 p.m. on  
 Aug. 5, two unknown men hopped the  
 fence at the Malba Yacht Club, located at  
 143-01 Malba Dr. Once inside, the suspects  
 broke into a docked and unoccupied  
 ferry by forcing open a window. 
 Aft er boarding the boat, law enforcement  
 sources noted, the burglars picked  
 up 10 bottles of liquor, then disembarked  
 and fl ed the yacht club. Police said they  
 were last seen fl eeing on foot eastbound

 Man attacks and robs  
 sleeping man in Woodside 
 Cops are looking for a man who robbed  
 and attacked a sleeping man in Woodside  
 last month. 
 According to authorities, at 5 a.m. on  
 July 20 a 62-year-old man fell asleep on  
 a bench outside of 50-18 Broadway. He  
 awoke to an unknown man trying to take  
 his wallet. 
 A  struggle  ensued  and  the  suspect  
 pulled out a fi rearm and struck the victim  
 on his left  thigh. Th  e suspect then fl ed  
 the scene with the victim’s cellphone and  
 $110 in cash. 
 EMS took the victim, who suff ered  a  
 shattered femur as a result, to Elmhurst  
 Hospital Center in serious but stable condition. 
 Police released photos of the suspect  
 taken from surveillance footage at the  
 housing development.

 South Ozone Park 
 Bike-riding thief breaks into  
 South Ozone Park home 
 Cops are looking for a bike-riding burglar  
 who broke into a South Ozone Park  
 home and took off  with cash and personal  
 items. 
 According to police, at 10 p.m. on Aug.  
 7, an unknown man entered a residence  
 of a 50-year-old woman in the vicinity of  
 Sutter Avenue and 118th Street through  
 the back door. While there were no signs  
 of forced entry, according to the NYPD,  
 it is unknown if the door was locked  
 or not. 
 Once inside, the suspect took the victim’s  
 purse, which contained a watch,  
 $1,300, passport, $400 gift  card, credit  
 cards and a cellphone, before fl eeing the  
 scene. Th  e incident was later reported to  
 the 106th Precinct, who released photos  
 of the suspecton Twitter on Aug. 11.

 Forest Hills, Rego Park 
 Man robs senior citizen  
 in Forest Hills store 
 A  crook  yanked  a  purse  out  of  a  
 68-year-old woman’s arms in a Forest  
 Hills 99-cent store on Saturday aft ernoon  
 during a robbery caught on camera, 
  police reported. 
 Th  e NYPD released footage of the  
 incident which occurred at 9:40 a.m.  
 on Aug. 10 inside the Food 99 Cent  
 Discount shop at 118-27 Queens Blvd. 
 Law enforcement sources said the victim  
 was shopping in one of the aisles  
 when the perpetrator, who had walked  
 in  seconds  earlier,  approached  her.  
 Footage, shown on QNS.com, shows the  
 man grabbing the woman’s purse out of  
 her arms during a brief struggle, then  
 walking away. 
 Cops said the suspect fl ed the store  
 with the handbag, which contained a  
 debit card and $150 in cash. 
 Offi  cers  from  the  112th  Precinct  
 responded to the scene. Th  e woman was  
 not injured. 
 As  of  press  time,  the  perpetrator  
 remains at large. Cops described the  
 purse thief as a black man who wore a  
 white baseball cap, blue jeans, whiteand 
 black sneakers and a blue longsleeved  
 shirt  while  carrying  a  black  
 backpack.
