The mother went into labor during rush hour, at about 6:15 p.m., while riding a Q9 bus in Jamaica, FDNY spokesperson said. The bus pulled over at on the corner of 150th Street and Jamaica Avenue, and the woman gave birth to a baby boy inside of the bus. It wasn’t immediately clear who assisted with the birth. The FDNY arrived on the scene and transported the mother and child to Jamaica Hospital. The MTA could not be reached for comment. Wet Basement? At approximately 3:15 a.m. on July 30, authorities said a man forcibly touched the 18-year-old female victim within the mezzanine of the subway station located at Sutphin Boulevard and Archer Avenue. The victim was walking in the mezzanine of the subway station when the individual in question approached her from behind and proceeded to grab her buttocks. The perpetrator then fled the scene in an unknown direction. The incident occurred in the same mezzanine as the assault did four days prior in which a man was beaten bloody with a cane by two assailants. The suspect is reported to be a 33-year-old black male who is approximately 5’7” and weighs about 220 pounds. He has hazel eyes, short black hair and a fair complexion. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a blue shirt and dark-colored pants. The investigation is ongoing. All calls and messages are kept confidential. Bicyclist wanted for deadly Jamaica shooting This gunman got away on two wheels. The NYPD released pictures of a bicyclist wanted for fatally shooting a man on a Jamaica street in July. At approximately 9:37 p.m. on July 25, authorities said, the unidentified man shot 23-year-old Naveed Hanif in front of a location on 157th Street. After a single gunshot struck Hanif in the back, the suspect fled the scene on a bicycle. Officers from the 103rd Precinct responded to a 911 call about the shooting. Paramedics rushed the wounded Hanif to Jamaica Hospital, where he was officially announced deceased. According to a source familiar with the investigation, the shooting may have been related to a debt that Hanif owed. The suspected shooter is described as a black male, who was last seen wearing a doorag. The investigation is still ongoing.
