Queens cops celebrate ‘Night Out Against Crime’ on Aug. 1

Your local precinct will be hosting an
evening of fun in observance of National
Night Out Against Crime throughout
Queens next week.
Each precinct is holding events on
Tuesday night, Aug. 1, in an eff ort to
build stronger relationships with the people
they serve each day. Along with meeting
their local police offi cers, visitors can
enjoy food, games, entertainment and
other attractions.
Organized by the National Association
of Town Watch, the National Night Out
Against Crime takes place in thousands
of communities across the United States
and Canada on the fi rst Tuesday every
August.
Th e National Night Out events scheduled
to take place rain or shine in Queens
on Aug. 1 are as follows:
Th e 100th Precinct will be at Beach
94th Street & Rockaway Beach Boulevard
in Rockaway Beach between 4 and 8
p.m. Th ey will have a rock wall, a bounce
house, an obstacle course, balloon artists
and a photo booth along with performances,
demonstrations and information
booths from local businesses and community

Also on the Rockaway peninsula, the
101st Precinct will host their National
Night Out from 3 to 9 p.m. at the corner
of Beach 17th Street and the boardwalk
in Far Rockaway. Th ere will be free food,

Come out to Victory Field in Forest
Park on Woodhaven Boulevard and
Forest Park Drive for the 102nd Precinct‘s
Night Out between 6 and 9 p.m. Th ey will
have free food and drinks, raffl e prizes,
entertainment and informative literature.

Enjoy a fun-fi lled evening of activities
during the 103rd Precinct’s Night
Out event, which will take place from 7
to 9 p.m. at Rufus King Park, located on
Jamaica Avenue between 150th and 153rd

Join the 104th Precinct and their
Community Council at Juniper Valley
Park in Middle Village from 5:30 to 8:30
p.m. Th ere will be free rides for kids,
community vendors, public safety information,
health screenings, and free food
and drinks. Th e event will take place on
the soft ball fi eld off the intersection of
Juniper Boulevard North and 80th Street.

Th e 105th Precinct will host its
National Night Out from 5 to 9 p.m.
at Cabbell Park, located at the corner
of 121st Avenue and Francis Lewis
Boulevard in Cambria Heights. For more

Th e 106th Precinct’s National Night
Out event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m.
at Addabbo Playground, located at 83rd
Street and 133rd Avenue in Ozone Park.

Th e 107th Precinct’s Night Out
will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. at the

Torsney Playground will play host to
the 108th Precinct’s National Night Out,
located at Skillman Avenue and 43rd

An evening of safe activities will be
coming to Bowne Playground in Flushing
during the 109th Precinct’s National
Night Out. Th e event takes place from
5 to 9 p.m. at the playground located
on Union Street between Barclay and

Th e 110th Precinct will be celebrating
National Night Out at Flushing Meadows
Corona Park, near the entrance at 111th
Street between 54th and 55th avenues
from 5 to 8 p.m. Th ere will be a petting
zoo, soft ball tournament, free food, a
crime prevention program, presentations
by highway safety, domestic violence unit

found during the 111th Precinct’s
National Night Out event, which takes
place from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Douglaston
Shopping Center, located at the corner
of Douglaston Parkway and the Horace

Th e 112th Precinct will celebrate
National Night Out at MacDonald Park
in Forest Hills. Th e festivities will take
place from 6 to 9 p.m. in the vicinity
of Queens and Yellowstone Boulevards.

Th e 113th Precinct invites its residents
to enjoy a night out from 6 to 10
p.m. on Tuesday night at Baisley Pond
Park, located in the vicinity of Baisley

in the vicinity of Shore Boulevard and
Hoyt Avenue South to enjoy a summer
night on the waterfront during the 114th
Precinct’s National Night Out program.

Finally, fun activities for the whole family
will be found at the 115th Precinct’s
National Night Out this Tuesday night
from 5 to 8 p.m. at Northern Playground,
located on Northern Boulevard between
93rd and 94th streets in Jackson Heights.
