 Th  e  Fire  Department  is  investigating  
 a  reported  blast  in  Whitestone  that  left   
 one  person  injured  on  Monday  morning. 
 At  9:11  a.m.  on  July  1,  the  FDNY  
 responded  to  a  911  call  regarding  a

 reported  explosion  at  17-11  Francis  
 Lewis Blvd. EMS rushed the victim, who  
 had suff ered from burn-related injuries,  
 to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. 
 A  report  from  the  Citizen  App  said  
 that  the  victim  was  injured  aft er  the  
 fuel  tank  that  they  were  cleaning  had  
 exploded.  Th  e  FDNY  confi rmed  that  
 the incident was initially reported as an  
 explosion, however they could not confi  
 rm this detail at this time. 
 Th  e  Fire  Marshall  will  determine  the  
 cause  of  the  fi re.  Th  e  investigation  is  
 ongoing. 
 110th Precinct 
 Corona, Elmhurst 
 Pair sought for Jackson  
 Heights stabbing 
 Detectives  are  looking  for  two  men  
 wanted in connection with an early morning  
 double-stabbing  on  the  streets  of  
 Jackson Heights this week. 
 Police said the violence occurred at 5  
 a.m. on June 26 in front of the Santander  
 Bank at 83-20 Roosevelt Ave. 
 According to law enforcement sources,  
 a 49-year-old man and a 21-year-old man  
 were walking through the area when they  
 got into a physical altercation with the  
 two suspects, whom police described as  
 Hispanic males. 
 Th  e  argument  turned  bloody,  police  
 said, when the perpetrators stabbed the  
 49-year-old man in the abdomen and  
 the  21-year-old  man  in  the  buttocks.  
 Th  e assailants then fl ed  on  foot  eastbound  
 along Roosevelt Avenue, authorities  
 noted. 
 Offi  cers from the 110th Precinct and  
 paramedics  responded  to  the  scene.  
 Paramedics  brought  both  victims  to  
 Elmhurst Hospital, where they were listed  
 in stable condition. 
 On June 28, the 110th Precinct tweeted  
 out an image of the suspects wanted  
 for the attack.

 114th Precinct 
 Astoria, Long Island City,  
 Jackson Heights, Woodside 
 One wanted for brawl at  
 Astoria’s Bel Aire Diner 
 Cops are looking for a woman who may  
 know something about an early morning  
 brawl that left  an Astoria diner employee  
 injured earlier this month. 
 According to police, at 2:30 a.m. on  
 June 15, an unknown woman got into an  
 argument with another woman inside Bel  
 Aire Diner, located at 31-91 21st St. Th e  
 fi ght turned physical, with one woman  
 throwing a glass container at the other. 
 Law enforcement sources said a 34-yearold  
 employee was struck in the face by the  
 container, causing a laceration, pain and  
 bleeding. 
 Authorities said the two women fl ed  
 the scene in an unknown direction. Th e  
 victim took herself to a nearby clinic and  
 received three stitches to the right side of  
 his face. 
 Police described the person of interest  
 as a black woman standing 5 feet, 4 inches  
 tall and weighing 120 pounds. She was  
 last seen wearing a blue jean jacket and  
 dark pants.

 103rd Precinct 
 Hollis, Lakewood, Jamaica 
 20-year-old woman found  
 dead in Hollis garage 
 Detectives detained a person of interest  
 on Saturday shortly aft er  fi nding  a  
 20-year-old woman dead on the fl oor of  
 a Hollis garage. 
 Law  enforcement  sources  said  that  
 police were called to a home on Farmers  
 Boulevard near 103rd Avenue at about  
 10:58 a.m. on June 29. 
 Upon  arriving  at  the  scene,  offi  cers  
 from the 103rd Precinct were directed  
 to the home’s garage, where they located  
 the 20-year-old female victim lying on  
 the fl oor, unconscious and unresponsive.  
 Police did not have immediate information  
 about the extent of her injuries. 
 Responding  EMS  units  pronounced  
 the woman dead at the scene. Police have  
 withheld  her  identity,  pending  family  
 notifi cation. 
 Her  body  was  transported  to  the  
 Medical Examiner’s offi  ce for an autopsy  
 to determine the cause of death, law  
 enforcement sources said. 
 Following a preliminary investigation,  
 police detained a person of interest for  
 further questioning. No charges against  
 that person have been fi led at this time.
