Boulevard ALP Assisted Living (ALP) in Fresh Meadows, Queens has been
through it all during these challenging times in dealing with Covid-19.
Daily activities and functioning has been a struggle, however, we are
proud to say that we believe we faced the worst of the crisis thanks to our
residents’ families, amazing staff, and Congresswoman Grace Meng.
We are grateful to Congresswoman Meng who made sure we were fully
equipped with facemasks at the start of the pandemic. Utilizing our
network we have been able to stay fully stocked with all necessary PPE.
We have been very diligent to ensure the facility is disinfected multiple
times a day, temperature checks for staff entering building, no entry for
visitors and temporarily no residents leaving the building unless
medically necessary. Our staff has been working tirelessly to deliver all
meals to the residents to comply with social distancing. Our residents’
families have been expressing their appreciation and were gracious
enough to send catered meals to support our staff. We received handmade
masks donated by our thoughtful residents’
families. We thank the group effort that helped us
hopefully get through this pandemic.
