Two men steal prescription
drugs from Long Island
City pharmacy: NYPD
Th e NYPD is looking for two men who
allegedly stole prescription drugs from a
pharmacy in Long Island City on Tuesday,
May 26.
On May 26, around 12:30 p.m., two
individuals walked into Greenpoint
Pharmacy, located at 40-26 Greenpoint
Ave., and grabbed a 74-year-old employee,
according to the NYPD.
Th e duo told the male employee they had
a gun and took two bottles of prescription
drugs and left the store aft er throwing the
employee to the ground, cops say.
Th e pair fl ed eastbound on 48th Avenue
inside a gray four-door sedan, according
to the authorities.
Police recovered surveillance footage
from within the store at the time of the
incident as part of their investigation.

Triple shooting in Jamaica
leaves two dead, another in
critical condition: NYPD
Two men died following a triple shooting
in Jamaica early in the aft ernoon of
Monday, June 1, according to the NYPD.
Around 2:30 p.m. on June 1, police
received a call about the triple shooting
in front of 179-16 137th Ave., cops
said. EMS personnel arrived to fi nd two
19-year-olds unconscious and unresponsive.
One of the men had been shot in the
torso and the other was shot in the head,
according to the police.
Both were transported to Jamaica Hospital
where they were pronounced dead.
Th e third victim, a 26-year-old man,
was shot in the hip and transported to
NewYork-Presbyterian Queens in stable
condition.
No arrests have been made and a police
spokesman said the investigation is ongoing.

Severely burned man found
dead in Queens Village: NYPD
A severely burned man was found
dead near a bank in Queens Village on
Saturday, May 30.
Offi cers from the 105th Precinct,
along with FDNY personnel, responded
to a 911 call regarding a fi re near an
HSBC Bank located at 220-09 Hillside
Ave. just before 1 p.m. on May 30.
Firefi ghters extinguished the “rubbish
fi re” and personnel discovered a severely
burned man unconscious and unresponsive.
EMS arrived at the scene and
pronounced the man dead. Th e Medical
Examiner will determine the cause of death.
An FDNY spokesperson said that the
fi re is under investigation by fi re marshals.
