Trainer Shug McGaughey said on June 1 that the 4-year-old A.P. Indy ridgling emerged from the May 31 half-mile breeze in good order. Honor Code was clocked in 49.01 seconds over Belmont Park’s main track. Lane’s End Racing and Dell Ridge Farm’s Honor Code has worked three times since finishing fifth, beaten six lengths, in the Grade 2 Alysheba on May 1 at Churchill Downs. The loss snapped a two-race win streak for Honor Code, knocked from the Triple Crown trail last spring with a suspensory injury. He won an Aqueduct allowance in November and the Grade 2 Gulfstream Park Handicap on March 7 at the Met Mile distance. Other stakes races on the card include the Grade 1, $750,000 Acorn Stakes at 1 mile for 3-year-old fillies; the Grade 1, $750,000 Just a Game Stakes at 1 mile on the turf for older fillies and mares; the Grade 2, $500,000 Woody Stephens Stakes at 7 furlongs for 3-yearold colts and geldings; the Grade 2, $400,000 Brooklyn Invitational at 1 1/2 miles for older horses; the Grade 3, $300,000 Jaipur Invitational at 7 furlongs on the turf for older horses; and the $150,000 Easy Goer Stakes at 1 1/16 miles for 3-year-old horses.
