Man killed in car crash
on Parsons Boulevard
in Flushing: NYPD
A man died following a car crash on
Parsons Boulevard in Flushing on the
morning of Monday, May 24, according
to police.
Police responded to a 911 call regarding
a car crash at 142-50 32nd Ave. at
about 6:46 a.m. on May 24. When offi cers
arrived at the scene, they saw a 58-yearold
man, later identifi ed as Li Ren, with
trauma to his body, according to police.
EMS responded to the scene and transported
Ren to NewYork-Presbyterian
Queens Hospital, where he was pronounced
dead, police said.
A preliminary investigation determined
that Ren was traveling northbound
on Parsons Boulevard and
attempted to turn westbound on 32nd
Avenue toward the intersection, when
he was struck by a 66-year-old man driving
a 2013 Dodge Ram, who was traveling
southbound on Parsons Boulevard,
according to authorities.
The NYPD’s Highway Collision
Investigation Squad is investigating the
incident. No arrests have been made.

Springfi eld Gardens man
sought for allegedly raping
three teenagers: NYPD
Police from the 105th Precinct are
searching for an alleged rapist from
Springfi eld Gardens.
Dwayne Gordon, 41, is suspected of
raping three 13-year-old girls at his home
between October 2020 and this month,
according to the NYPD. He hasn’t been
seen since May 21, police said.
Gordon reportedly attacked the teenagers
during sleepovers at his Springfi eld
Gardens home. One of his daughter’s
friends told investigators that the suspect
had slipped her white pills that made her
feel incapacitated.
Th e NYPD released photos of Gordon
who is approximately 5 feet 10 inches
tall and 180 pounds. He has dark skin,
brown eyes, short black hair and speaks
with a Jamaican accent, according to the
NYPD.

Village and Maspeth
Police searching for man
who stole $9,400 worth of
clothing in Ridgewood
Police are looking for an individual who
stole packages of clothing valued at $9,400
on the Ridgewood/Maspeth border earlier
this month.
A man entered a commercial building
at 46-55 Metropolitan Ave. through
the front garage around 7 p.m. on
May 2, according to offi cials from the
104th Precinct. Th e individual fl ed in
an unknown direction but was caught
on surveillance video, obtained from the
incident location.
Th e suspect is described as being
approximately 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet
6 inches tall and about 170 pounds. He
has a light complexion, brown eyes and
dark curly hair. He was last seen in a black
T-shirt with a red heart on the front and
black shorts.
Police say they believe the man was acting
alone and they have not noticed a pattern
of burglaries in the area linked to
this case.
