Albany’s rent proposals:
Do not create a single new unit of affordable housing.
Do not help low-income families find new affordable housing.
Will make it impossible for owners like Stephanie to meet their costs
and afford to invest in maintaining and improving their buildings.
Hundreds of thousands of rent stabilized units, especially older units
in the boroughs outside of Manhattan, will be at risk.
