St. John's Celebrates
Mammography and
Women's Health Awareness
with
'Cinco de Mammo Event'
WHAT:
St. John’s Episcopal Hospital is hosting a press conference and mammogram awareness
symposium to educate patients and the public on the importance of mammography
screenings, and to discuss women’s health service offerings available at the hospital
and the hospital’s offsite, community clinics.
WHO:
Elected officials and St. John’s clinicians will be on hand to raise awareness of the
importance of mammography screenings for women of the Rockaways and
surrounding communities.

WHY:
The Rockaways and Central Queens were identified as having the highest breast
cancer rates in Queens County, and early breast cancer diagnosis rates are lower than
