P_14138 party items such as ribbons and party hats. “We’ve wanted to open a business for a while now and there are many things we have to offer to the community,” said Ixaida Erskine, who runs the business with her husband Michael. While the store provides for all kinds of parties, there is a focus on children’s events. Ixaida explained that the duo had originally wanted to open their business in Brooklyn, which is only a few blocks away, but the rent forced them to find a place in Queens, where prices are lower. “But we’re happy we moved here. The experience with the community so far has been great,” Ixaida said. There will be an official grand opening party on April 19, when the couple will offer free face painting for children.
