The Ukrainian pastime is also known as Pysanka egg decorating, “Pysanka” translating to “write” in Ukrainian. SUNDAY, MARCH 27 In collaboration with the Hindu Temple Society of North America’s Flushing, NY, chapter, the Queens Museum presents its annual spring festival in celebration of Holi, the Indian festival of colors. The event is free and open to all and will be from 3 to 5 p.m. The Queens Museum can be found in the New York City Building of Corona Park in Flushing Meadows. The Dorsky Gallery will be opening a new exhibit themed “Devotion/Destruction,” with a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. The exhibit was curated by Rebecca Pristoop and will explore how the featured artists were introduced to their craft. The Dorsky Gallery is located at 11-03 45th Ave. in Long Island City. MONDAY, MARCH 28 The BMCC will be hosting a live version of Susan Gaspell’s “Trifl es” as a tribute to the 100th anniversary of the infl uential one-act play, a part of the 2016 Women’s Herstory Month series. TUESDAY, MARCH 29 Drop-in to Queens Museum’s Family Workshop with your 5- to 12-year-old for an afternoon of hands-on art-making activities. The event will be from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30 The Queens Museum will host a screening of the 1993 fi lm “What’s Love Got To Do With It?” at 2 to 5 p.m. The showing will be on the second fl oor and is free with museum admission. The Queens Museum can be found in the New York City Building of Corona Park in Flushing Meadows. The Bayside Historical Society will be having its annual Membership Meeting starting at 7 p.m. to elect the new BHS board of trustees. It is of course free to attend and light refreshments will be served. The Bayside Historical Society is located at 208 Totten Ave. in Bayside. The knitting club Stitchin’ Queens will be holding an open meeting at Panera Bread in search of new members.
