The suspects allegedly fi rst tried to rob a 22-yearold man aboard a subway at the 102nd Street and Jamaica Avenue station, around 2 a.m. on January 9. They punched the man in the face, then went through his pockets, but were not able to take anything, cops said. Three days later, at the 121st Street and Jamaica Avenue subway station, at about 6:40 p.m., they approached a woman on the J train, took her iPhone from her hand and fl ed on foot, cops said. The victim was not injured. The trio then stole an iPhone from a 26-year-old woman aboard a J train at the 111th Street and Jamaica Avenue subway station at about 10:30 p.m. on January 16, the NYPD said. The victim did not suffer any injuries. Police have released video from the second incident, along with a description of the suspects from that robbery. The suspects are described as three black men in their late teens, approximately 5’ 6” to 5’ 10”. The fi rst suspect was last seen wearing a red winter jacket, dark pants and dark shoes; the second suspect was last seen wearing dark clothing; and the third suspect was last seen wearing a dark winter jacket, with a gray or white hooded sweatshirt underneath and blue jeans. Cops looking for South Richmond Hill attempted burglary suspect Police are looking for a suspect in connection with an attempted burglary of a South Richmond Hill home. A male perpetrator walked through the yard of a residence near 132nd Street and 101st Avenue, and tried to open the garage on January 17 at about 2 a.m., cops said. This activated the home alarm and caused the man to fl ee, authorities said. The NYPD released video surveillance that shows the man walking near the side of the house. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS. 109TH PRECINCT Downtown Flushing, East Flushing, Queensboro Hill, College Point, Malba, Whitestone, Beechhurst and Bay Terrace Cops searching for suspect in Flushing store thefts Police are looking for a man suspected in a string of thefts at Flushing stores this month, the NYPD said. The suspect stole a wallet at a cabinet store on 33rd Avenue on the afternoon of January 2, and another wallet, containing $3,000 in cash, at a beauty salon on Union Street the following morning, police said. On January 14, he allegedly stole a purse containing two iPhones from a Sanford Avenue store, according to cops. He then allegedly took another iPhone from a telecommunications store at 136-84 Roosevelt Avenue, the next day. The suspect is described as approximately 30 years old, medium build with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hat, black sneakers, blue jeans and carrying a black and gray North Face backpack. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS. Man found dead with body trauma after Flushing fi re A 63 year-old man was found dead inside his Flushing home with severe trauma and burns to his body following an early morning fi re, police said. The blaze broke out last week in the basement of a residential building at 43-06 159th Street. After the fi re was extinguished, an offi cer discovered the victim unconscious and unresponsive, police said. He was taken to New York Hospital Queens, where he was pronounced dead. The fi re marshal will determine the cause of the blaze and the medical examiner will determine the cause of death, the NYPD said. 113TH PRECINCT St. Albans, Hollis, Springfi eld Gardens, South Ozone Park, South Jamaica, Addisleigh Park and Locust Manor Jamaica man charged with kidnapping, trying to sexually abuse 13-year-old A Queens man was arrested and charged with kidnapping and sexual abuse after stealing an SUV with a sleeping 13-year-old girl inside, cops said. The teen’s 28-year-old uncle, who owns the vehicle, reported it stolen about 6 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, telling police that his niece was in the back when it was taken at Sutphin Boulevard and 109th Avenue. Offi cers from the Queens Gang Squad located the vehicle near 147th Street and Rockaway Boulevard and apprehended 23-year-old Kapri Dickson of Jamaica, cops said. After Dickson took the SUV, he allegedly tried to sexually assault the teen in the back seat of the vehicle near Inwood Street and Linden Boulevard, according to the NYPD. The victim yelled and attempted to push the suspect off of her, at which time the suspect struck her in the face and threw her out of the car. The victim was taken to an area hospital, where she is listed in stable condition, police said. Dickson has been charged with kidnapping, sexually motivated attempted assault, sex abuse, which is sexual contact with an individual under 14, grand larceny auto, criminal possession of stolen property, and acting in a manner injurious to a child, police said. 114TH PRECINCT Astoria, Long Island City, Woodside and Jackson Heights Cops looking for suspect in Astoria wine store robbery A man held up an Astoria wine store at gunpoint last week, taking $800 before escaping on foot, police said. The robbery occurred about 10:30 p.m. on Friday, January 17 inside of Doctor’s Wine & Spirits, at 46-16 Ditmars Boulevard, according to the NYPD. The suspect approached the 50-year-old store clerk, displayed a gun and stole the cash, then fl ed, cops said. There were no reported injuries. Police describe the suspect as 6’ 2” tall with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a grey or blue hooded sweatshirt, and a black ski mask. Video catches suspect burglarizing Astoria home A suspect broke into an Astoria house earlier this month and took off with cash, police said. The suspect was captured on video during the January 4 burglary, after he entered the home through a rear window, according to the NYPD.
