She was the wife of the late Lawrence Granshaw, loving mother of Edward Granshaw, Patrick H. Granshaw and Lawrence Granshaw and cherished grandmother of Edward, Tracy, Michael, Patrick, Mark, Michelle, Lisa, Brian, Kenneth and Lawrence. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren. Services were off ered on Wednesday, December 21, at Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth, followed by interment at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY. +++ GREGORY CECI of Glendale died on Sunday, December 18, at the age of 71. A native of Brooklyn, he was the husband of the late Elaine Ceci and the late Heidi Herber Ceci, devoted father of Patricia Deutcher, son of the late James and Philomena Ceci, dear brother of Vincent and Thomas Ceci and Theresa Grace and loving grandfather of Matthew and Evan Deutcher. Services were off ered at George Werst Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper Ave., Glendale, by Pastor Phil Hardt, followed by interment at Maple Grove Cemetery, Kew Gardens. +++ OBITUARIES REGINA SCHUSTER of Glendale died on Sunday, December 18, at the age of 93. A native of Tiefental, Gottschee, Austria, she was the beloved wife of Charles, daughter of the late Alois and Maria Hoegler, and dear sister of Bernhard Hoegler. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Sacred Heart Church, Glendale, followed by interment at All Faiths Cemetery, Middle Village, under the direction of George Werst Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper Ave., Glendale. +++ THERESA WENDLER LANG of Brooklyn died on Saturday, December 17, at the age of 87. A native of Glendale, she was the beloved wife of John Lang, devoted mother of Theresa Lang, Marianne Manzolillo, Annette Lang and Robert Lang, daughter of the late Jakob and Theresa Wendler, dear sister of Rose Klaus and the late Maria Feldhoffer, Jozsef and Andras Wendler, loving grandmother of Lisa Mallia, Daniel and William Manzolillo and Hanna St. Marie and fond great-grandmother of Dimico Manzolillo and Chase and Lyle Mallia. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Stephen’s Church, Brooklyn, followed by interment at All Faiths Cemetery, Middle Village, under the direction of George Werst Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper Ave., Glendale. +++ BERNARD G. HELLDORFER of Maspeth died on Thursday, December 15, at the age of 61. He was the beloved husband of Linda (nee Sturm) Helldorfer; loving son of Lillian and the late Bernard Helldorfer; dear son-inlaw of Richard and Helen Sturm; fond brother of Susan and Jim Prince and Lori Kazlausky; cherished godfather of James Prince, Johnny Kazlausky, Stephen Helldorfer, Nicholas DiBari and Katrina Lewis; loving uncle of Jimmy Kazlausky; and dear nephew of John Helldorfer, Claire Helldorfer and Maryann Helldorfer. He is also survived by many cousins. Bernie Helldorfer graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. John’s University College of business in 1977. He attended St. John’s University School of Law and attained a judicial degree in 1980. Following graduation from law school, he was off ered a position as in-house counsel for Mobil Oil Corporation and worked there until 1983. He then began teaching undergraduate law at the College of Professional Studies and served as the fi rst chair of the Division of Criminal Justice and Legal Studies. Bernie maintained a private law practice in Maspeth, specializing in elder law, trusts and estates, and real property. He was admitted to the bar in Federal District Court and before the U.S. Supreme Court. In addition to the New York bar, he was also admitted to the bars of Pennsylvania and Montana. He was a fourth-degree Knight of Columbus, a Knight of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem and received the papal honor of being a knight of the order of St. Gregory the Great. He was also a member of the board of trustees at Christ the King Regional High School, Middle Village, his alma mater; and was an active member of Our Lady of Hope Church, Middle Village. A Mass of Christian Burial will be off ered on Thursday, December 22, at Our Lady of Hope Church, followed by interment at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village, under the direction of Village Chapels Inc., 67-67 Eliot Ave., Middle Village. In lieu of fl owers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital; Christ the King Regional High School; the Humane Society of the United States; St. John’s University; or the American Cancer Society.
