Christ the King rallies
from behind against Stepanic
Christ the King’s boys’ hoops team
overcame a fi rst quarter defi cit
before cruising to an 85-69 road
victory against Archbishop Stepinac
in White Plains.
Stepinac used a stifl ing defense to
build a 15-13 lead through the fi rst
quarter, but the Royals’ off ense heated
up in the second, outscoring their
opponent 26-17 to take a 39-32 lead into
halft ime.
Christ the King put the game away
with a huge third quarter that saw
the Royals’ off ense record 33 points,
while their defense limited Stepinac
to 18.
While the home team outscored
Christ the King by six points in the
fourth quarter, it wasn’t enough to
upset the Royals, who clinched the
85-69 victory.
