Squads Last weekend two Blau Weiss Gottschee (BWG) teams scored victories in Brooklyn. The U8 White (top) took their match, 4-3, and the U9 White won their game by the score of 6-2. Last weekend, two Blau Weiss Gottschee (BWG) youth teams played against the Chernomorets squads in Brooklyn. In the first game, the U8 White won their last match of the season by a 4-3 score. In the exciting game, Luca Giannola, scored all four goals for the BWG. The older team, BWG U9 White won their game by the score of 6-2. Goals were scored by Kevin Uni, Derek Ramos and Marco Bogdanovic, with two apiece. The U10 Royals traveled to scrimmage against the U11 DUSC team. The Gottscheers won 6-1 on goals scored by Sebastian Cusu, two, and Jadin Hodzic, Antonio Mannino, Shane Lee and Bryan Wisema, with one each. The BWG U12 Pre- Academy team traveled to Tarrytown to face New York Soccer Club in a Northeast preacademy game. In a high scoring encounter, the Gottscheers won 6-5. Jack McGlynne netted a hat trick with three goals, and Dijon Ahmetaj, Trevor Muller and Niko Andriopoulos scored one apiece. On the girls side, the U10 girls won their match against Manhasset Shooting Stars by a lopsided 10-0 final.
