Goals in the match were scored by Luca Giannola (4), Joseph Rooney, Peter Gianone, Steven Dimotheris and Semih Gul. BWG U9 white also won against, Chelsea Piers, by a final score of 3-1. Scoring in the match were Joaquin Franco (2) and Marco Bogdanovic. In Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League action last weekend, BWG 2004 White defeated SC GJOA by a score of 2-0 thanks to great performances from several of the boys. On Sunday, Gottschee played their second NY Cup game and lost against Primo FC in a close match by a score of 8-6. After a tough first half, the girls bounced back with Sophia Ruebenacker's equalizer, and a spectacular free kick from Mila Sadeghi to clinch their second NY Cup game victory by a 2-1 score. In the BWG Pre-Academy, U12 White played in Oakwood, and after missing good opportunities, the team came up just short, losing the game 1-0. The U13 squad won their game against New York Soccer Club by the score of 5-3. At the BWG Academy the team traveled to Rochester to play against the Empire Revolution Academy and the boys won both of their games. The U16 won 5-0, while the U18 won 2-1. Captains John Nunez and Juan Carlos Obregon took turns leading their teams to success in the matches, Coach Michael Cognato said. Nunez scored both goals against St. Francis Prep and Obregon assisted, then capitalized on a penalty kick in the final minutes to tie against Fordham Prep. The pair each scored and assisted against Iona Prep, and senior Andy Munoz lead the scoring with two goals. The Royals currently hold first place in the Brooklyn-Queens Diocesan divsion.
