Here’s the rundown. • Tonight (Thursday), Oct. 9, Sunnyside Gardens at 90: Lecture and Exhibit, 7 p.m. Historian and preservationist Jeffrey A. Kroessler and architect Laura Heim, past president of the AIA Queens Chapter, offer an illustrated lecture on Sunnyside Gardens. $5. In this lecture, Hunter College Speaker in the Humanities Janet Neary brings together contemporary visual slave narratives and classic slave narratives from the 19th century to examine the way black artists and writers respond to institutional constraints.
