For service to the 36th Street, Steinway Street, 46th Street, Northern Boulevard, 65th Street, Elmhurst Avenue, Grand Avenue, Woodhaven Boulevard, 63rd Drive and 67th Avenue stations, take the E train to Roosevelt Avenue or 71st-Continental Avenues, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound E train. For service from these stations, take the E train to Roosevelt Avenue or Queens Plaza, then transfer to a Jamaica Centerbound E train. Additionally, Manhattanbound E trains will run local service between 71st-Continental Avenues and Queens Plaza, and Manhattan-bound F trains will run local service between 71st- Continental Avenues and 21st Street-Queensbridge, during this period. Riders are advised to allow additional travel time. E & F Trains Skip Three Local Stops Jamaica Center-bound E trains and Jamaica-bound F trains will skip the 75th Avenue and Van Wyck Boulevard stations on Friday, Oct. 3, from 9:45 p.m. until 5 a.m. Jamaica-bound F trains will also skip the Sutphin Boulevard stop. For service to these stations, take the E train to Union Turnpike or Jamaica-Van Wyck or the F train to Union Turnpike or Parsons Boulevard, then transfer to a Manhattan-bound E or F train. For service from these stations, take the E or F train to Union Turnpike or 71st-Continental Avenues, then transfer to a Jamaica Centerbound E train or a Jamaica-bound F train. Switch Of Lines For E Trains To Jamaica Jamaica Center-bound E trains will run on the F line between West Fourth Street and 21st Street-Queensbridge late nights, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning this Monday, Oct. 6, and continuing through Friday, Oct. 24. During this period, Jamaica Center-bound E trains will not stop at the Seventh Avenue, Fifth Avenue-53rd Street, Lexington Avenue-53rd Street, Court Square-23rd Street and Queens Plaza stations. E trains will resume normal service following 21st Street-Queensbridge. Transfer to a free shuttle bus at 21st Street-Queensbridge for service to and from Court Square- 23rd and Queens Plaza. Late Night Local Svc. Along F Line Jamaica-bound F trains will operate local service between 21st Street-Queensbridge and Roosevelt Avenue overnights, Tuesday through Friday, from 12:30 to 5 a.m. beginning this Tuesday, Oct. 7, and continuing through Friday, Oct. 24. Riders are advised to allow additional travel time.D elayed Service On G Line Sat. G train service will operate in two sections—between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues and between Bedford- Nostrand Avenues and Church Avenue—on Friday, Oct. 3, from 11 p.m. until 5 p.m. Riders can transfer between G trains at Bedford-Nostrand Avenues to continue their trip. It was noted that all G trains between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues will operate every 30 minutes. Riders are advised to allow for additional travel time. No Late Night A Trains To Far Rock. A train service between Broad Channel and Mott Avenue-Far Rockaway will be suspended on Friday, Oct. 3, from 11:30 p.m. to 4:45 a.m. During this period, the A train will replace the Rockaway Park Shuttle. Free shuttle buses will provide alternate A train service, making stops at the Beach 90th Street, Beach 67th Street, Beach 60th Street, Beach 44th Street, Beach 36th Street, Beach 25th Street and Mott Avenue stations. Riders can transfer between the A train and the shuttle buses at Beach 90th Street. Transit News And Changes -CONTINUED FROM PG. 18- Traffic News And Changes The Grand Street Bridge over the Newtown Creek will be closed on three Saturdays—Oct. 4, 11 and 18—from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. to allow for repairs to deck gratings and sidewalks. The DOT advises drivers to use Metropolitan and Flushing avenues as alternate routes. Street Resurfacing In Elm. & Woodside Weather permitting, DOT crews will perform street resurfacing work on the following streets: • 41st Avenue between 58th and 60th streets in Woodside for milling on Thursday, Oct. 2; • 47th Avenue between 58th Street and 58th Lane in Woodside for milling on Thursday, Oct. 2; • 48th Avenue between 58th Street and the dead end in Woodside for milling on Thursday, Oct. 2; • 58th Lane between Laurel Hill Boulevard and 58th Street in Woodside for milling on Thursday, Oct. 2; • 59th Place between Laurel Hill Boulevard and 47th Avenue in Woodside for milling on Friday, Oct. 3; • 59th Street between Roosevelt Avenue and the dead end in Woodside for milling on Thursday, Oct. 2; • 59th Street between Queens and Laurel Hill boulevards for milling in Woodside on Thursday, Oct. 2; • 60th Street between Laurel Hill Boulevard and 47th Avenue for milling in Woodside on Friday, Oct. 3; • 61st Street between Tyler Avenue and Laurel Hill Boulevard in Woodside for milling on Friday, Oct. 3; • 63rd Street between Laurel Hill Boulevard and Tyler Avenue in Woodside for milling on Friday, Oct. 3; • 79th Street between 47th and Woodside avenues in Elmhurst for milling on Thursday, Oct. 2, and Friday, Oct. 3; • Granger Street between Horace Harding Expressway and Martense Avenue in Corona for milling on Friday, Oct. 3; • Van Horn Street between Grand and 57th avenues in Elmhurst for milling on Thursday, Oct. 2; Drivers are reminded that parking on these streets is prohibited during work hours, under penalty of a fine and removal of vehicle. Lane Closures On Van Wyck Expwy. One of three lanes in each direction of the Van Wyck Expressway between Jewel Avenue and Union Turnpike may be closed on Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. due to construction work related to the Kew Gardens rehabilitation project. Additionally, up to two lanes in either direction of the expressway in the same section may be closed on overnights from 1 to 5 a.m. Kew Gdns. Project Affects Union Tpke. Long-term construction related to the state Department of Transportation’s Kew Gardens Interchange project will require the right lane of Union Turnpike eastbound to be closed at all times between 128th and 134th streets. All existing traffic lanes will remain open and are shifted to the left. Lane Closures On Grand Central Pkwy. One lane of the Grand Central Parkway in each direction will be closed between 82nd and 111th streets on weekdays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. on weekdays. Lane closures will also take place from 10 p.m. Fridays to 7 a.m. Saturdays and from 10 p.m. Saturdays to 3 p.m. Sundays. Two lanes of traffic in each direction may be closed on weeknights from 12:01 until 5 a.m., Saturdays from 1 to 6 a.m. and Sundays from 1 to 9 a.m. Additionally, up to two lanes in both directions on the Grand Central Parkway may be closed under 44th Street and 47th Streets weeknights from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. through September to allow for bridge repainting. Sewer Work Leads To Pkwy. Closures One of three lanes of the Belt Parkway between Cross Bay Boulevard and 194th Street in either direction may be closed on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and weeknights 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Additionally, two of three lanes in either direction may be closed in this segment on early weekday mornings from 1 to 5 a.m. The closures are required to allow for sewer reconstruction, which is expected to continue through July 2016. Furthermore, one of two lanes of the Nassau Expressway exit ramp to the eastbound Belt Parkway between 115th and 128th streets will be closed until further notice.
