Thursday, Aug. 18 Sports: Olympic Viewing Party w/ Burritos @ Aunt Ginny’s If you’re like us and don’t have cable (or even a TV) you can still partake in some Olympics fever. Aunt Ginny’s is showing the Olympics on their big projector screen every night. Their new dinner menu, which features Austin-style burritos and tacos, delivered to your barstool, will ensure you don’t have to miss a second of the games. Aunt Ginny’s is open from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. and is located at 652 Woodward Ave. Friday, Aug. 19 Music: The Prits, Salt Circles, Open Wide, Abraham King @ The Footlight To the joy of music lovers, new venue The Footlight opened last month, bringing regular programming and shows several nights a week to the neighborhood. This Friday, the venue brings rockers, The Prits. The show goes from 8 p.m. to midnight and features four bands. The Footlight is located at 465 Seneca Ave. Song: Kirtan @ All Yoga NYC This Friday, following the Friday Night flow, there will be a celebration of music and expression at our favorite neighborhood yoga spot, All Yoga. Come listen to the harmonium and sing along to chants. Class runs from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. and the kirtan is directly following. All Yoga is located at 780 Woodward Ave. Saturday, Aug. 20 Community: Ridgewood Youthmarket The Ridgewood Youthmarket, run in partnership with Ridgewood Local Development Corporation and the Myrtle Avenue Business Improvement District, is now in its eighth season! Youth from Bushwick and Ridgewood come out to this lively market each Saturday to sell fresh fruits and vegetables purchased from Greenmarket Co. The market takes place every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Nov. 19 at Cypress and Myrtle avenues. Art: Art Party @ The Bad Old Days Join Berry Thief Studios for their second Art Party! This time, the focus will be on finger paints and will get a little messy! They are offering a two-for-one house beer and wine special. Tickets are $10 and available at the door or online here.
