defy gravity at the Maspeth library.
Participants will learn the principles
of light and air fl ight through actual
demonstrations of hot air and helium
balloons. Kids will be able to fl y their

at Queens Botanical Garden Farm
& Compost at 43-50 Main St. From

on the production process of nutrient
rich compost from food scraps
and horticultural waste at the Farm
and Compost Welcome Tour. You will
be introduced to the fundamentals
of ecological farming as you visit the

Come and learn about Korean
painting on wood panel with artist
Seongmin Ahn! During this workshop,
participants will create paintings
on wood panel using multiple elements,
utilizing diff erent materials
and traditional Korean techniques.
The instructor will demonstrate
basic strokes and techniques of Korean
traditional painting, and guide
the participants to design their fi nal
works combining diff erent elements.

of contemporary art,
