MARIE C. HUNT died on Monday,
April 24, at the age of 100. She was the
wife of the late Walter E. Hunt, cherished
mother of Barbara, Thomas and
John Hunt, beloved mother-in-law of
Donna, dear grandmother of Brendan
and Christine and loving aunt to James
Curry, Nancy Wilson, Randy and Robert
Hundertmark. As a bilingual New York
City school teacher, Marie Hunt taught
for over 20 years in Glendale schools. A
native of Greenpoint who became a longtime
resident of Ridgewood, she lived for
over 75 years at the same home on Gates
Avenue that she moved into as a bride in
the 1940s. She held a master’s degree in
education, and she taught Spanish and
regular fourth- and fi ft h-grade classes.
She spent the last three weeks of her life
with the devoted sisters and caring staff
of the Ozanam Hall Nursing Home. A
Mass of Christian Burial was off ered on
April 27 at American Martyrs Church,
Hollis Hills, followed by interment at St.
Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, under
the direction of Harden Funeral Home,
Bayside.

ANTHONY L. IGLESIAS of Brooklyn
died on Saturday, June 17, at the age of 65.
A native of Brooklyn, he was the devoted
father of Jessica Iglesias-Ortega, Cindy
Garcia and Anthony Iglesias and dear
brother of Martha Frias, Raymond Iglesias,
Lucy Garcia, Milagros Gomez and
Eddie Iglesias. He is also survived by seven
grandchildren. A Mass of Christian
Burial was off ered at St. Matthias Church,
Ridgewood, followed by interment at Cypress
Hills Cemetery, Brooklyn, under
the direction of Morton Funeral Home/
Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave.,
Ridgewood.

FRANK J. HARTMANN died on Friday,
June 16, at the age of 91. He was the
husband of the late Domenica Hartmann;
loving father of JoAnn and John Ribisi,
Frank Jr. and Edie Hartmann, Dorothea
and Paul Posillico, Mary Ann and Joseph
Scibelli, Robert and Lynn Hartmann,
Joseph and Susan Hartmann, Diann
Hartmann and the late John Hartmann
and Ronald Hartmann; cherished grandfather
of JoAnn, Sam, Justina, Chris,
Jamie, Brian, Joy, Frankie, Jessica, Matthew,
Felicia, Thomas, Jackie, Kim, Paul,
Tasia, Jennifer, Laurie, Kelly, Charles,
Chris, Kim, Tiff any, Rob, Billy, Michael,
Josie, Robbie, Krystal, Kristi, Jonathan,
Amanda and Brianna; and great-grandfather
of 18 great-grandchildren. He was
a U.S. Navy veteran. A Mass of Christian
Burial was off ered on Tuesday, June 20, at
St. Nicholas Church, Brooklyn, followed
by interment at St. Charles Cemetery,
Farmingdale, NY, under the direction
of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand
Ave., Maspeth.

CONSTANCE T. DUDDY died on
Thursday, June 15, at the age of 85. She
was the wife of the late James E. Duddy,
loving mother of Dennis Duddy, Maureen
Duddy, Brian Duddy, James Duddy Jr.,
Maryanne Volatile, Christopher Duddy,
Noreen Bannell and the late Thomas Duddy,
mother-in-law of Kathy, Debbie, Guy,
Alice and George, cherished grandmother
of Lisa, Michelle, Kaitlin, Sean, Amanda,
Christian, Alicia, Ryan, Cassidy, Matthew,
Timmy, Jaime and Samantha, dear sister
of Mary Hurley, Margie Geraghty and
the late Jack Hurley and sister-in-law
of Helen Hurley and Pete Geraghty. A
Mass of Christian Burial was off ered
on Tuesday, June 20, at St. Adalbert’s
Church, Elmhurst, followed by interment
at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY,
under the direction of Papavero Funeral
Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

ELLA M. RUSS of Ridgewood died
on Sunday, June 11, at the age of 84. She
was a native of New York. Services
were off ered at Morton Funeral Home/
Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview
Ave., Ridgewood, by Reverend Michael
Ross, followed by interment at Flushing
Cemetery.

WILLIAM C. PFEFFER of Mineola
and formerly of Ridgewood died on
Tuesday, June 6. William served his
country and community proudly. He
spent his younger years helping to support
his mother by selling pretzels aft er
his father passed. He proudly enlisted in
the Air Force just out of high school. He
spent many years helping kids by serving
as a Profi cient Master Scout Leader and
expert camper. He spent 87 years being
a great father, an involved and loving
grandfather, a trusting and loyal friend/
companion. He was a member of the Elks
Club helped to create a drug awareness
program in Nassau county. A Memorial
Mass will be off ered on Saturday, July 1,
at 9:45 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church in Garden
City, NY, followed by a memorial tribute
at “The Casino” in Garden City from 11 a.m.
till 2 p.m. Bring your fondest memory.

BARBARA ANN HAYES died on
Wednesday, May 31, at the age of 60. She
was the devoted mother of Christopher,
Allyson, Ashley and Ian and dear sister of
Carol and John. She is also survived by 11
grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial
was off ered at St. Margaret Church, Middle
Village, followed by interment at Pinelawn
Memorial Park, Farmingdale, NY, under
the direction of Hess-Miller Funeral Home,
