JOAN M. CHRISTMAN died
Wednesday, May 27, at the age
of 80. She was the beloved wife
of the late Robert Christman,
loving mother of Jeanne Raumberger
and Lynn Christman
and mother-in-law of Scott. She
was the cherished grandmother
of Jillian, Sean and Luke, dear
sister of Helen Nicastro, Mary
Hellman, the late Thomas Mc-
Carthy and Kathleen Conroy
and is also survived by many
loving nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services were
held Tuesday, June 2, with a
private blessing at St. Adalbert’s
Church, followed by interment
at Calverton National
Cemetery, Calverton, under the
direction of Papavero Funeral
Home, Maspeth.

May 29, at the age of 63. She was
the beloved mother of Jose Campos,
cherished grandmother of
Brian, Adrianna, Katherine,
Kayla and Tyler and loving
sister of Ana Campos, Gabriel
Campos and Concepcion Agis.
She was the loving partner
of Rodger Atkinson. Private
funeral services were scheduled
to be held Thursday, June
4, with a private blessing at
Our Lady of Hope Church, followed
by interment at Pinelawn
Memorial Park, Farmingdale,

MICHAEL NAVARRETTE
died Sunday, May 17, at the age
of 22. He was the beloved son of
Kim DiQuattro and Charles Navarrette.
A private celebration
of life for Michael was held on
Tuesday, June 2, his 23rd birthday,
followed by a public memorial
at Papavero Funeral Home,
Maspeth sometime in July or
August once New York reopens.
Private cremation was held on
Wednesday, June 3 at Fresh
Pond Crematory, Middle Village,
under the direction of Papavero
Funeral Home, Maspeth.

JOHN M. MARZEC died Monday,
May 25, at the age of 98. He
was the beloved husband of
Helen Marzec, loving father of
Gerard (Teresa) Marzec, John
(Donna) Marzec and Diane
(John) Marzec-Rozza and cherished
grandfather of Michelle,
Andrew, Brian and Dylan. He
was the dear uncle of many loving
nieces and nephews. In lieu
of flowers memorial donations
may be made to St. Jude’s Children
Research Hospital. Private
funeral services were held on
Thursday, May 28, followed by
interment at St. John Cemetery,
Middle Village, under the direction
of Papavero Funeral Home,
Maspeth.

PORFIRIO ARIEL NUNEZ
of Brooklyn peacefully entered
the gates of Heaven Saturday,
May 30, at
the age of 80.
A native of
the Dominican
Republic
he was the
devoted and
loving husband,
father
and grandfather
who will
be deeply
missed and
forever cherished.
He is
survived by his wife Theresa
Nunez, son Ariel Nunez and
daughters Myra Ramos and Madeline
Murphy. He also leaves behind
seven grandchildren and
one great-granddaughter.
