Early summer fun at the Maspeth fair The balmy weather couldn’t dampen spirits or keep local kids from having fun at the Grand Avenue street festival in Maspeth on May 31. The Maspeth Lions and Kiwanis club cosponsored RIDGEWOOD TIMES/photos by Marcin Zurawicz the event along Grand Avenue between 65th and 72nd streets. The Ridgewood Times and Queens Courier were among the other co-sponsors. Photo by Anthony Giudice Seniors, students strut on Ridgewood catwalk The Ridgewood Older Adult Center recently held its first Intergenerational Fashion Show. Participants of this event included, as photographed above, well-beloved seniors who regularly attend the center, students from P.S. 91 in Glendale, and participants from the Greater Ridgewood Youth Council’s Young Adult Internship Program. All three generations modeled casual as well as evening wear. The purpose of the event was to bring together different organizations from the community to help raise funds for the center.
