Glendale’s Redeemer Lutheran
School is bringing back a
beloved tradition to the neighborhood
this Saturday, May 5, when
it once again hosts its beloved street
carnival.
The festivities will take place
from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday
at the school located at 69-26 Cooper
Ave., a short distance from Myrtle
Avenue.
The carnival had been a regular
attraction in Glendale for many
years up until last year, when it was
postponed due to construction at the
nearby Glendale Memorial Triangle.
The triangle was undergoing a major
transformation into a new public
plaza.
Now that the work has ended,
the school has revived its carnival
program, a one-day, family-friendly
gathering featuring an array of
games of skill and chance. Kids
can also enjoy rides and a bounce
house.
All guests can peruse a fl ea market
featuring local vendors, partake
in music and purchase food and
beverages.
Proceeds from the carnival benefi t
Redeemer Lutheran School, which
provides a Christian-based education
to elementary school children; it also
houses a nursery class and a free universal
pre-kindergarten program. Staff
members will be on hand to provide
tours of the school during the carnival.
For more information about the
carnival, call Redeemer Lutheran at
