GUNMAN GOES SHOPPING
AT GROCERY STORE
Police released video footage on
Wednesday of a man wanted for holding
up an Ozone Park deli at gunpoint
earlier this month.
According to law enforcement
sources, the heist took place at 1:06
p.m. on April 6 inside the Cross Bay
Deli, located at 105-10 Cross Bay Blvd.,
near Liberty Avenue.
Authorities said the gunman walked
into the grocery store and displayed a
fi rearm. He proceeded to remove cash
from an employee and the register totaling
$2,200, then fl ed northbound on
foot along Cross Bay Boulevard.
The video footage shows the suspect
walking along Liberty Avenue and
standing inside of the store. Police
described him as a black man standing
6 feet, 3 inches tall, weighing 200
pounds and last seen wearing a black
hooded sweatshirt, a Cleveland Indians
baseball cap, black pants and white
sneakers.

BURGLAR STEALS CASH &
VACUUM FROM APTS.
Police are looking for a man who
climbed in the windows of two apartments
in Rego Park and left with cash
and appliances.
According to police, at 3:17 p.m. on
April 9, an unknown man gained access
to an apartment building on 67th
Avenue by climbing a fi re escape in the
rear of the building.
Once inside the building, the suspect
stole a television and a small vacuum
from apartment 4H. Aft erwards,
he went into apartment 5H and took
$300 in cash.
