BB gun shooting BY ROBERT POZARYCKI RPOZARYCKI@QNS.COM/@ROBBPOZ Detectives continue to search for the suspects involved in the pellet gun shooting of a woman on a Middle Village street last week that is being investigated as a possible hate crime. Law enforcement sources said someone in a late-model white sedan pulled up alongside a 55-year-old woman as she walked in the area of Eliot Avenue and 69th Street on the Middle Village/Maspeth border at 1:10 a.m. on March 28. Authorities said an individual in the car then pulled out a BB gun and fi red a projectile that struck the woman in the face, causing a laceration. According to WABC-TV, two white males in the car drove past the woman and hurled anti-Hispanic slurs. The vehicle then fl ed the scene; it was last seen heading westbound on Eliot Avenue on video footage taken from a nearby car wash. Offi cers from the 104th Precinct responded to the incident; the woman was treated at her home for injuries not considered life-threatening. The NYPD Hate Crimes Squad was notifi ed of the incident and is conducting an investigation. As announced by District Manager Gary Giordano, the session takes place at 7:30 p.m. in the cafeteria of Christ the King Regional High School, located at 68-02 Metropolitan Ave. The session includes a public hearing on a Board of Standards and Appeals special permit application for Crossfi t Bridge and Tunnel, located at 1645 Decatur St. in Ridgewood. The permit would allow for the operation of the physical culture establishment in an M-14D manufacturing zoning district. Also on the agenda are the public forum; a review of liquor license applications and demolition notices; reports by Giordano and Board 5 Chairperson Vincent Arcuri; and committee reports.
