OBITUARIES
DOROTHY BELOTTO died Friday, March 26, at the age
of 91. She was the beloved sister of Dolores Macchiarulo, a
loving aunt, cherished great-aunt and godmother. A Mass of
Christian Burial was offered Tuesday, March 30, at St. Francis
de Paola Church, followed by interment at St. John Cemetery,
under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.

ANTHONY VILA died Thursday, March 25, at the age of
97. He was the beloved husband of the late Violet Vila, loving
father of Linda Vila Passione and Robert Vila and fatherin
law of Darrell Hornback, and cherished grandfather of
Byron Zinonos and the late Margarita Passione. He was a
United States Navy veteran who served during World War
II. Funeral services will be held at Papvaero Funeral Home
at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 2, followed by interment at Mount
Olivet Cemtery, under the direction of Papavero Funeral
Home, Maspeth.

BIANCA IRIS VARELA died Thursday, March 25, at the
age of 74. She was the beloved mother of Yvonne Ferrer,
Adrian Ruiz, Monica Ruiz, Frankie Ruiz and the late Luis
Angel Ruiz and Jose Antonio Ruiz, loving grandmother of
three grandchildren and cherished great-grandmother of
three great-grandchildren, and dear sister of Anotnia Font,
Eufemia Varela, America Hernandez, Zaida Hernandez, Judy
R. Evarista and Franky Martinez. Funeral services will be
held at Papavero Funeral Home from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on
Thursday, April 1, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery,
under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, Maspeth.

JOAN WILLIAMS died Tuesday, March 23, at the age of 89.
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Williams, loving
mother of Karen Howard, Kim Doremus and the late Robert
Williams, cherished grandmother of Sean, Kristi, Timmy,
