BWG girls win indoor tourney;
boys teams hit the road
Last weekend, all of the Blau Weiss
Gottschee (BWG) Developmental
Academy teams were in action.
On Saturday, they played Met Oval
teams at Metropolitan Oval in Maspeth.
The U12 Blue squad defeated Met
Oval 2-0, while the U12 White team
played Met Oval to a 2-2 draw. The U13
team lost to Met Oval 3-1, while the U14
squad defeated Met Oval 3-1.
Also on Saturday, the BWG Academy
teams swept three games from Empire
at Aviator Sports Complex. The U15
team defeated Empire 3-1, while the U17
squad won their match 2-0 and the U19
team competed to a 3-0 victory.
The BWG U11 girls won the Global
Sports Winter indoor tournament
without losing a game with a +18 goal differential.
The girls won games against
East Coast, Lynbrook, Mineola, Merrick,
East Meadow, RVC and Plainedge.
In the last game the two undefeated
teams met to capture the fi rst place.

The BWG girls fought hard against
East Coast to win the game 3-0. The
2007 girls team has been showing a
lot of development and promise in the
last three months.
The team will next compete in the
New York Club Soccer League in the
spring starting early April.
St. Pancras boys complete undefeated season

The St. Pancras eighth-grade boys captured the Division 2 CYO championship this weekend with a 40-22 win over Monastery. The Glendale-based St.
Pancras team fi nished up an undefeated season of 19 victories under the guidance of coaches Brian and Jackie Flannery. The team members included
Damiano Cottone, John Joe Lotardo, Miguel Crespo, Bryan Ortiz, James Krueger, James Boudreau, Liam Dolphin, Jeremy Rivera and Amado Buff amante.
