 R’wood celebrates St. Joseph’s Day with Mass & march 
 Scores  of  faithful  Ridgewood  
 residents  celebrated  the  feast  
 day of St. Joseph early on March  
 17  with  a  Mass  at  Our  Lady  of  the  
 Miraculous Medal Church, followed  
 by a procession through local streets.  
 A  special  feast  day  particularly  
 for  Catholics  of  Italian  descent,  the  
 celebration  was  organized  by  the  
 Associazione  Cattolica  Italiana  
 Miraculous  Medal  di  Ridgewood.  
 Father Johny Chengalan Thomas of  
 Our  Lady  of  the  Miraculous Medal  
 celebrated the 4:30 p.m. Mass in honor  
 of St. Joseph.  
 Tony Mule and other members of  
 the  Associazione  Cattolica  Italiana  
 Miraculous Medal di Ridgewood then  
 led the procession, which included a  
 statue of St. Joseph, a marching band  
 and the Coastal Patrol Cadet Corps. 
 St.  Joseph’s  Day  is  the  feast  of  St.  
 Joseph,  who  according  to  Catholic  
 teachings is the husband of the Blessed  
 Virgin  Mary  and  earthly  father  of  
 Jesus Christ.

 The Coastal Patrol Cadet Corps carried the colors

 The 104th Precinct Civilian Observation Patrol and the 104th Precinct  
 escorted marchers. A brass band leads the marchers in song.
