14 injured in
two house fi res
The FDNY had a busy morning
of putting out fires at two
southwest Queens homes early
Wednesday morning.
According to the FDNY, a 911 call came
in at 4:29 a.m. on March 20 regarding a
two-alarm fi re on the fi rst fl oor of 60-
26 55th St. in Maspeth. There were 106
fi refi ghters at the scene, and they were
able to get the fi re under control.
Four firefighters were injured
and were taken to a nearby hospital
for treatment.
Minutes later at 4:41 a.m., the FDNY
received a call regarding a basement
fi re at 410 Menahan St. in Ridgewood.
Sixty firefighters were deployed to
the scene and the fire was brought
under control.
Ten people – nine civilians and one
fi refi ghter – suff ered minor injuries
and were taken to local hospitals
for treatment.
The causes of both fi res are under
investigation by the FDNY Marshals.

ELMHURST
Pair wanted for
mall gang assault
Two men are wanted for questioning
aft er a man was stabbed during a gang
assault outside of a mall in Elmhurst.
According to authorities, at 4:15 p.m.
on March 8, an 18-year-old man was
outside the Queens Center Mall when
he was approached by several men.
The men pushed him to the ground
and began to punch and kick the victim,
causing bruising and pain.
The victim was also stabbed once in
the right side of his back, which caused
non-life threatening injuries.
Following the attack, 18-year-old
Angel Seda was taken into custody
and charged with gang assault, assault,
criminal possession of a weapon
and disorderly conduct. The other
assailants remain at large.
The 110th Precinct tweeted out
photos of two people who are wanted
for questioning in connection to
the stabbing.

That same day, reports say that
rapper “A Boogie wit da Hoodie,”
whose real name is Julius Dubose, held
a wristband-only event at the Puma

The event drew a large crowd and a
fi ght broke out within the crowd.
The event was ultimately shut down
by police. At this time, it is unclear if
the two incidents are connected.
