FRIEDA FITZ of Ridgewood
died on Tuesday, March 5,
at the age of 89. A native of
Mauren, Gottschee, Yugoslavia,
she was the wife of the late
Leopold Fitz, devoted mother
of Elizabeth Jurkowitsch and
Lydia Suran, and dear sister
of Trudy Kinberger and Olga
Nagler. She is also survived by
four grandchildren. A Mass of
Christian Burial was offered
at Our Lady of the Miraculous
Medal Church, Ridgewood,
followed by interment at St.
Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale,
New York, under the direction
of Morton Funeral Home/

ANWAR TAWADROUS of
Maspeth died on Monday, March
4, at the age of 88. A native of
Cairo, Egypt, he was the husband
of the late Mary Tawadrous
and devoted father of Ihab
Tawadrous. A Divine Liturgy
was offered at St. Mary’s and
St. Antonio’s Coptic Orthodox
Church, Ridgewood, followed
by interment at Linden Hill
Cemetery, Ridgewood, under
the direction of Morton Funeral

SLAWOMIR KOLODZINSKI
died on Sunday, March 3, at the
age of 63. He was the beloved
husband of Krystyna Kolodzinski,
loving father of Katarzyna and
Alexander Stungurys, Malgorzata
and Lukasz Derda, Tomasz and
Christine Kolodzinski, and
Iwona Kolodzinski, cherished
grandfather of Luke, Zachary
and Oliver, loving son-in-law
of Hanna Jakimowicz and dear
brother of Marek and Barbara
Kolodzinski, and Grzegorz and
Malgorzata Pomichowski. He is
also survived by many loving
nieces and nephews, and the
Adirondack Crew. A Mass of
Christian Burial was offered on
Thursday, March 7, at Holy Cross
Church, Maspeth, followed by
interment at Calvary Cemetery,
Woodside, under the direction
of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27
Grand Ave., Maspeth.

JAMES P. BORENZO of
Ridgewood died on Thursday,
February 28, at the age of 66. A
native of Brooklyn, he was the
dear brother of Frank Borenzo.
Services were offered at Morton

Ridgewood, followed by cremation
at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle
