Plenty to cheer about at Ridgewood event
Hundreds of cheerleaders from across the Greater Ridgewood area and beyond participated in the third-annual Cheer and Dance Competition that P.S.
71 hosted on March 9 at Grover Cleveland High School in Ridgewood. The Brooklyn Diamonds swept the fi rst-place prizes in the Elementary School and
Middle/Junior High School cheer sessions. P.S. 71’s Mini-Dance team were part of a fi ve-way tie for the top prize in the Non-Tumble Cheer, Non-Mount
Cheer and Dance Session. The other fi rst-place fi nishers in the category were the P.S. 71 Elite Dance, Hawtree Creek Middle School Dance, P.S./I.S. 214
