ROBERT A. NORMANDIA of
Ridgewood and Maspeth died on
Friday, February 15, at the age of
89. A native of Maspeth, he was
a pharmacist and a veteran who
served during the Korean Conflict.
He was the beloved husband of
Irena (nee Papay) Normandia,
devoted father of Donna and
Frank Saporito, Andrea and
Fred Proeschel, Roberta and
Paul Ward and Robert Jr. (Rusty)
and DonnaMarie Normandia,
son of the late Alphonse and
Caroline Normandia, dear
brother of Alphonse Normandia
and Caroline Dodaro and loving
grandfather of Kris and Joe,
Karyn, Jenny, Andrew, Clarice,
Daniel and Charlotte, Matthew,
and Alyssia and fond greatgrandfather
of Philip, Colton,
Madeline and Elijah. A Mass of
Christian Burial will be offered at
9:45 a.m. Friday, February 22, at
Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal
Church, Ridgewood, followed by
interment at Pine Hill Cemetery,
Middletown, New York, under the
direction of Village Chapels Inc.,
67-67 Eliot Ave., Middle Village.

ROSE VIZZO died on Thursday,
February 14, at the age of 92. She
was the wife of the late Vincent
Vizzo, loving mother of Suzanne
Russell and the late Linda Vizzo,
cherished grandmother of
Michael Russell and dear sister
of Lena Shemanski and the
late George DiMascio and Tony
DiMascio. A Mass of Christian
Burial was offered on Tuesday,
February 19, at Our Lady of
Hope Church, Middle Village,
followed by interment at St.
John Cemetery, Middle Village,
under the direction of Papavero

Ave., Maspeth.

of 88. She was the wife of the
late Domenico LoFaso, loving
mother of Santo LoFaso and
Benedetto LoFaso, mother-inlaw
of Josephine and Victoria,
and cherished grandmother
of Dominick, Frank, Santo Jr.,
Carmela and Isabella. A Mass

Church, Ridgewood, followed by
entombment at St. John Cemetery
Resurrection Mausoleum, Middle
Village, under the direction of

85. He was the beloved husband of
Carmela Trifilio, loving father of
Anthony Trifilio, Steven Trifilio,

of Enza, Michelle, Gianni and
Antonio, cherished grandfather
of Josephine, Carmela, Christina,

Sabrina, Annamarie, Steven,
Gianni, Luca and Lia Grace, and
great-grandfather of Giuliana,
Giancarlo, Olivia and Emma. He
is also survived by many loving
