Nichols (“Toni” & “Toots”) of Endicott, NY passed away 1 year ago on Feb. 17, 2015 at age 93. Toni was a former longtime resident of Maspeth and Ridgewood and faithful member of Miraculous Medal parish. She was the devoted mother of Toni Sherling (Larry), Francine Freitag (Wolf), the late Chuck Nichols, Bill Nichols (Janice) and the late Michael Nichols, and a cherished and loving Grandmother to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Toni is survived by countless family members and friends and is deeply missed by those who were fortunate to know and love her. She’s smiling down on all of us as she rests in eternal peace. A resident fi rst of Ridgewood and then of Glendale, Lucy was a devoted sister to Albert, a loving sister-in-law to Lillian, an amazing aunt to Kathleen and Christine and a dear great aunt to Hope. She had very strong friendships throughout her life including those she made when working for the New York Telephone Company. A generous, kind, fun and adventurous woman, Lucy had a great sense of humor and a real zest for life. She was also a woman of deep faith. A funeral Mass to celebrate her life was offered at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Glendale followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.
