A51-year-old man remains
locked up after being
arrested last week for
a violent assault on a woman
at her Middle Village home,
prosecutors announced.
David Vittor, 51, was arrested
on Feb. 6 and charged with
assault, attempted assault,
criminal contempt, aggravated
criminal contempt, burglary,
petit larceny and harassment.
According to the criminal
complaint that the Queens
District Attorney’s office
provided, at around 6 p.m. on
Feb. 4, Vittor allegedly got
into an argument with an
unidentified female victim at
her home on 67th Road about his
drinking. Charges say that the
argument escalated, allegedly
causing Vittor to grab the victim
by the hair, dragged her down
the stairs and kicked her in the
back.
Vittor then allegedly dragged
the victim down another set of
stairs to the home’s basement,
law enforcement sources said. It
was there that Vittor allegedly
proceeded to punch the victim
in the face repeatedly, stating, in
sum and substance, “I’m going
to kill you.”
Prosecutors said that Vittor
then allegedly grabbed the
victim by the hair once again
and struck her head against the
floor multiple times.
The victim suffered deep
lacerations to the back of her
head, cuts and abrasions to the
side of her head and inside her
mouth, bruising all over her face
and as well as substantial pain,
annoyance and alarm. She was
taken to a local hospital, where
she received 11 staples for her
injuries.
Following the attack, Vittor
allegedly took the victim’s
cellphone and her car keys. The
Queens District Attorney office
declined to provide the nature
of the relationship between
Vittor and the victim.
The Queens Criminal Court
granted the victim a temporary
order of protection against
Vittor, who was scheduled to
return to court on Feb. 11.

Detectives have arrested a
Rego Park man accused of
allegedly stabbing his pregnant
girlfriend to death in Ridgewood
earlier this week.
Cops said that Anthony Hobson, 48,
of 64th Avenue turned himself in to
police on Feb. 8 at the 104th Precinct’s
Ridgewood stationhouse. Following
question, he was charged in the Feb.
3 murder of Jennifer Irigoyen, 35, in
the lobby of an apartment building
on Myrtle Avenue between Decatur
Street and Fresh Pond Road.
Sources familiar with the
investigation told QNS that Hobson
got into a dispute with Irigoyen in the
lobby of the Myrtle Avenue location
just before 1 a.m. on Feb. 3. Irigoyen,
whose residential address is Saunders
Street in Rego Park, was said to be
living in the Ridgewood apartment
house at the time.
The dispute turned violent, police
said, when Hobson allegedly stabbed
Irigoyen, who was 14 weeks pregnant,
in the neck and torso, then fl ed the
scene.
According to Queens District
Attorney Richard A. Brown, security
camera footage from the scene showed
Hobson allegedly dragging Irigoyen
from a third-fl oor hallway into the
stairwell before stabbing her.

Offi cers from the 104th Precinct
and EMS units responded to a 911 call
about the stabbing. Paramedics rushed
Irigoyen to Wyckoff Heights Medical
Center, where she was pronounced
dead. Doctors also could not save her
unborn baby.
Hobson was ordered held without
bail following his Feb. 8 arraignment
in Queens Criminal Court on charges
of murder, tampering with physical
evidence, and criminal possession of
a weapon. He faces up to 25 years to life
in prison if convicted, Brown said.
“This was a heinous crime. A woman
was brutally stabbed — killing her and
the unborn child,” Brown said on Feb.
8. “Hobson is alleged to have shown
no mercy and no regard for human
life when he repeatedly and purposely
plunged a knife into this expectant
mother’s abdomen, torso and neck.
The defendant, now in custody, faces
spending the rest of his days locked
behind bars.”

Video footage helped detectives
arrest a Glendale man last
week who allegedly robbed a
Ridgewood grocery store at knifepoint
and assaulted a store employee.
Law enforcement sources said that

arrested on Feb. 7 for his alleged role

According to the criminal

Cops said he demanded cash and then

Offi cers from the 104th Precinct
responded to the reported robbery.
The victim suff ered minor injuries.
Police recovered the knife left at the

criminal complaint noted. The footage
allegedly showed Schnitzler running

Forest Avenue just moments aft er the
robbery while wearing the partial
face mask as well as a black hooded
sweatshirt, dark pants and sneakers.
The evidence led the 104th Precinct
Detective Squad to question Schnitzler,
who allegedly admitted that he was
the masked individual in one of the
videos.
Stills from the video which police
released days aft er the robbery show
the suspect without wearing a facial

including fi rst-degree robbery and
criminal possession of a weapon.
