LOUISE TROIANO, of Ridgewood,
died Thursday, January 30, at the age
of 95. A native of Brooklyn, she was
the beloved wife of the late Harry
Troiano and devoted mother of the
late Charles Troiano. She is survived
by one grandchild and two greatgrandchildren.
A Mass of Christian
Burial was off ered at Our Lady of
the Miraculous Medal R.C. Church,
followed by interment at St. John
Cemetery, Middle Village, under the
direction of Morton Funeral Home/
Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview
Ave., Ridgewood.

VIVIAN ENGSTLER, of New
York, died Thursday, January 30, at
the age of 73. A native of Brooklyn,
she was the devoted mother Jennifer
Engstler, William Engstler, and
Douglas Engstler, and dear sister
of Christine Ricciardella. She is
also survived bt fi ve grandchildren.
Cremation was in Fresh Pond Crematory,
Middle Village, under the
direction of Morton Funeral Home/
Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview
Ave., Ridgewood.

REV. PAUL A. WOOD died
Friday, January 31, at the age of 65.
He was ordained as the Catholic
Priest of the Diocese of Brooklyn
June 7, 1980 and is a former pastor
of Transfi guration Church and St.
Stanislaus Church, Maspeth and
was a Chaplin at Newman Catholic
Church of Queens College, Flushing.
He was the beloved son of the
late Agnes and Lester Wood, dear
brother of Lee Wood and the late
Joesph, Robert, Laurence, John
and Marie, brother-in-law of Marjorie,
Judith and Elizabeth, and
is also survived by many loving
nieces, nephews and friends. In
lieu of fl owers, memorial donations
may be made to The Infusion
Center at the Cancer Institute - St.
Francis Hospital. A vigil Mass was
offered at Immaculate Conception
Center Tuesday, February 4,
followed by a Mass of Christian
Burial at Immaculate Conception
Center on Wednesday, February
5, followed by interment at St.
John Crematory, Middle Village,
under the direction of Papavero
Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave.,
Maspeth.

MARGARET DUNPHY died
Friday, January 31, at the age of 82.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Weldon J. Dunphy, loving mother of
Debbie and John Hart, Michael and
Caroline Dunphy, Karen and Steven
Malo and the late Kathy and Mick
Veitch, the cherished grandmother
of Gregg, Michael, John, Katie, Michael,
Ryan, Brittany, Christian and
the late Kevin and great-grandmother
of Brooklyn, Kendra, Shelby and
Katie. A Mass of Christian Burial
was off ered Tuesday, February 4,
followed by interment at Calvary
Cemetery, Woodside, under the direction
of Papavero Funeral Home,

Friday, January 31, at the age of 66.
He was the beloved brother of Maria
Tierno and Salvatore Tierno and a
cherished uncle. A graveside service

MARGARET ALFANO, of Fresh
Meadows, died Sunday, February 2,
at the age of 70. A native of Brooklyn,
she was the beloved wife of the late
Joseph Alfano and devoted mother
of Susan Dlugunovych, Barbara
Lacay, Diane Alfano, Joann Alfano,
and Angelo Alfano. She is also
survived 18 grandchildren. Cremation
was held in Fresh Pond Crematory,
Middle Village, under the
direction of Morton Funeral Home/
Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview
Ave., Ridgewood.

THOMAS J. BROWNE died Sunday,
February 2, at the age of 76. He
was the beloved husband of the late
Dolores Browne, loving father of
James T. Browne and dear brother
of Mary Doherty, William Browne
and the late Matthew Browne, Michael
Browne, Daniel Browne, John
Browne and Margaret Browne.
He is also survived by many loving
nieces and nephews. He was a
United States Army Veteran who
served during the Vietnam War.
Funeral services were scheduled
to be held at Papvero Funeral Home
on Thursday, February 6, at 10 a.m.,
followed by interment at Calverton
National Cemetery, under the direction
of Papavero Funeral Home,
72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

died Tuesday, January 28, at the age
of 83. He was the beloved husband
of Theresa and a dear brother to
his brother and sister. A Mass of
Christian Burial was off ered at Saint
Pancras Church, Glendale, followed
by cremation in Fresh Pond Crematory,
under the direction of Werst &
LaBella Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper
Ave., Glendale.
