Santiago, Dominican Republic,

NY died on Saturday, January 13, at the
age of 59. A native of Mayaguaz, Puerto
Rico, she was the devoted mother of

THOMAS A. MEEHAN of Central
Islip, NY, died on Friday, January 12,
at the age of 70. A native of Jamaica,
he was the beloved husband of Concetta
and devoted father of Kelly
Curtin, Jessica Meehan and the late
Thomas Meehan. He is also survived
by two grandchildren. He was an Air
Force veteran and a member of the
Glendale and Woodhaven-Richmond
Hill Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

FRANK C. WERNICKI died
on Tuesday, January 2, at the age
of 87. Born in Queens, he was the
beloved husband of Cecilia for 61
years, devoted father of Kathleen
McCluskey and the late Frank and
Daniel Wernicki, dear father-inlaw
of Martin McCluskey, cherished
grandfather of Kathleen’s
children Gabrielle, Liam, Lucas
and Aidan and Daniel’s children
Willow and Avery. He is survived
by numerous nieces, nephews,
cousins and friends. “He was an
illustrious storyteller and he
will be missed,” the family said.
A Mass of Christian Burial was
off ered on Monday, January 8,
at Our Lady of Hope Church,
Middle Village, followed by interment
at Pinelawn Memorial
Park, Farmingdale, NY, under the
direction of Hess-Miller Funeral
