Simulation Center at Elmhurst Hospital,
will lead a program on how doctors
and nurses use life-like mannequins
to learn how to treat victims of cardiac
arrest, stroke, obstructed airways and
other medical conditions. Participants
will have the opportunity to use the
mannequins and learn how to perform
chest compressions, a basic component

You can’t fi ght the First Order without
a good lightsaber. Moms and Dads
can bring their little Jedi warriors
to the New York Hall of Science this
weekend to learn how to create their
own lightsaber similar to those used
by Luke Skywalker and Kylo Ren in
the Star Wars series. The 90-minute
interactive workshop teaches you about
the power of light and simple circuits.
Recommended for kids ages 6 and

A truly unique exhibition opens this
evening at the Knockdown Center. Titled
“40 Volume,” Isaac Pool’s fi rst solo
exhibit in New York is an installation
and sitcom-length play starring three
sock-encrusted vases and a head of
fennel. In 40 Volume’s performances,
the vessels depart from their place in
the adjacent gallery and chat together
through fi lters of personal mythology
and melodramatic pop lyrics to fi nd sisterhood.
