Work Strikes Out 7 Line In Flushing Shuttle buses will replace 7 train service between Mets- Willets Point and Main Street-Flushing this weekend, from 11:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, until 4 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12. This service change will also be in effect the following weekend, Jan. 9-12. All 7 trains will operate normal service between Times Square- 42nd Street and Mets-Willets Point during this period. Riders can transfer between the shuttle bus and the 7 train at the Q48 bus stop on Roosevelt Avenue at the Mets-Willets Point station entrance. The shuttle bus will stop in Flushing at the Q48 bus stop on Roosevelt Avenue at Main Street. N Trains Skip Stops In Astoria Weekdays Astoria-bound N trains will operate express service between Queensboro Plaza and Astoria Transportation’s Kew Gardens Interchange project will require the right lane of Union Turnpike eastbound to be closed at all times between 128th and 134th streets. All existing traffic lanes will remain open and are shifted to the left.L ane Closures On Grand Central Pkwy. E & F Trains Skip Stops Late Nights Jamaica Center-bound E trains and Jamaica-bound F trains will skip the 75th Avenue and Van Wyck Boulevard stations late nights on Monday, Jan. 12, through Friday, Jan. 16, from 9:45 p.m. to 5 a.m.. During this period, Jamaica-bound F trains will also skip the Sutphin Boulevard stop. For service to these stations, take the E train to Union Turnpike or Jamaica-Van Wyck, or the F train to Union Turnpike or Investigation Into Deadly Shooting At B’wick Home by Robert Pozarycki Detectives continue to seek the suspect who shot a Bushwick resident to death inside her apartment early last Tuesday morning, Dec. 30, law enforcement sources reported. Police identified the victim as 36-year-old Tacuma Grant of Chauncey Street. Reportedly, Grant was found shot multiple times about the body inside an apartment on Chauncey Street between Bushwick and Evergreen avenues at about 4:08 a.m. last Tuesday. Officers from the 83rd Precinct and EMS units responded to 911 calls regarding the incident. Paramedics brought Grant to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Various police units searched the surrounding area for evidence and possible suspects, but no immediate arrests were made, authorities noted. The case was presented to the 83rd Precinct Detective Squad for further investigation, police said.
