ID Program. They will provide all who wish with ID cards and CDs that can
be used to assist the police if someone is missing. The CD is compatible with
the Amber Alert System. This service is provided at no charge, and
absolutely no personal information is kept.

St. Francis Prep Students Distinguish Themselves as
Advanced Placement Scholars
St. Francis Prep has long been regarded for its exceptional educational program. In addition to
traditional or core course offerings, every single department has a wide array of electives, college
credit, and Advanced Placement courses. Many Prep students graduate high school having
successfully accumulated college credit, thus saving valuable time and money in college.
Recently, numerous Prep students distinguished themselves based on their success. The AP
Program offers several AP Scholar Awards to recognize high school students who have demonstrated
college-level achievement through AP courses and exams.
John Fauvell, from the Class of 2017, is recognized as a National AP Scholar for receiving an
average score of at least 4 on all AP Exams taken, and having scored 4 or higher on 8 or more of
these exams.
26 Prep Students were recognized as AP Scholars with Distinction, granted to students who
receive an average of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more
of these exams.
14 Prep Students were recognized as AP Scholars with Honor, granted to students who
receive an average score of at least 3.25 on AP Exams taken, and scores 3 or higher on four or more
of these exams.
41 Prep Students were recognized as AP Scholars, granted to students who receive scores of 3
or higher on three or more AP Exams.
In all, 82 students, or 20% of Prep students taking an Advanced Placement class have been
honored. have been recognized.
Prep’s Class of 2017 earned well over $150 million dollars in merit scholarship for their four years
of college, and received acceptances from among other schools, the Sophie Davis School of
Biomedical Enginnering, Cornell University, CUNY Macaulay Honors College, Barnard College at
Columbia University, William and Mary, and the Juilliard School.
