A 28-story, mixed-use building is slated to
go up in Long Island City aft er developers fi led
a permit with the Department of Buildings on
Dec. 4.
Th e building will be located at 29-00 Northern
Blvd., which used to be a two-story offi ce building.

According to the permit, the site would
contain 55,589 square feet of residential space
and 10,117 square feet of commercial space.
Commercial space will be situated on the
ground, fi rst and second fl oors with mezzanines
built on the second and third fl oors,
YIMBY fi rst reported. Th e fourth fl oor will
include recreational space, and tenants will
have 41 spaces to park their bicycles.
Th e building is located near the Queens Plaza
E/M/R station in an area that has seen rapid
development.
Flushing-based Li Architect Associate will
handle the design, and it is not clear when construction
is slated to be complete.
