The hospital recognized William and Linda Chiang with its Pacesetter Awards to for their years of contributions to the hospital and its services, and gave the Theresa Lang Award to Dr. William Wolff, chief of radiology, who has been with the medical center the last 40 years. Proceeds from the gala will be used toward expanding the hospital’s cancer care center. As an anchor in the Ridgewood-Bushwick community, Hochul learned more about Wyckoff Heights’ emergency and outpatient services to the community. The lieutenant governor was joined on the tour by Assemblywoman Maritza Davila; Roopesh Ramjit, director of community relations for City Council member Rafael Espinal; Ramon J. Rodriguez, Wyckoff Heights president and CEO; Dr. Lisandro Irizzary, chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine; Dr. Ralph Ruggiero, chairman of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology; and Dr. Conchita Mendoza, director of the Department of Geriatrics.
