In the City Council, Rory Lancman will make our community stronger because it is what he has always done. SAFEGUARDING OUR FAMILIES In the Legislature, Rory voted for longer prison sentences for sex offenders and passed the law creating electronic safety alerts for families when a sex offender moves nearby. LOWERING MIDDLE-CLASS TAX RATES In the Legislature, Rory voted to cut state income tax rates to their lowest level since 1953. In the City Council, he will work to keep taxes and fees as low as possible. PROTECTING OUR CHILDREN’S FUTURE In the City Council, Rory will work for smaller class sizes and adequate resources so schools can give our children the education they need for the future they deserve. KEEPING FAMILIES HEALTHY Rory led the fight to stop City Hall from selling Queens Hospital Center and passed a law to make it harder to close hospitals and clinics in our community.
