KANGAROOS The Beach Channel Dolphins can’t get a break this season. The Boys and Girls Kangaroos beat the Dolphins in a game where they couldn’t even score a point, with a final score of 32-0. The Dolphins struggled on offense with only 85 offensive yards. Senior Darren Koomson completed four of eight passes, good for 25 yards. On the ground, Koomson rushed for 30 yards on five attempts. For the Kangaroos, senior Brandon Harding exploded for 208 rushing yards on 11 attempts and four touchdowns. Senior Nicholas Smith added a touchdown on the ground as well. Next up for the Dolphins will be the Sheepshead Bay Sharks, who have also lost all their games this season. BULL DOGS VS. ENGINEERS The Campus Magnet Bull Dogs schooled the Brooklyn Technical Engineers by a score of 18-14. The Engineers amassed 233 total offensive yards. Senior Elijah Rueda completed 13 of 18 passes for 121 yards and one touchdown through the air, while sophomore Pianin added a touchdown on the ground. Next up for the Bull Dogs will be the Port Richmond Red Raiders. COMMODORES VS. FALCONS The Bayside Commodores beat the William E. Grady Falcons (4-2) by a score of 32-20. The Commodores had 352 offensive yards with most of it coming through the air. Senior Charles Flug completed 13 of 23 yards, while throwing four touchdowns. On the ground, senior Tyrell Plaza led the Commodores with 60 yards on 10 attempts. For the Falcons, senior Alex Adams had a total of 148 of the team’s 186 offensive yards. Through the air, Adams had 101 yards, completing eight of 14 passes and a touchdown. On the ground, Adams had 47 yards on four attempts. Next up for the Commodores will be the Jamaica Beavers. SPARTANS VS. COUGARS The John Adams Spartans lost to the Franklin D, Roosevelt Cougars by a score of 40-0. The Spartans had only 135 offensive yards compared to the Cougars’ 385 yards. While junior Errol James struggled through the air with three interceptions, he led the team with 70 yards on 16 attempts. For the Cougars, senior Tristin Thomas rushed for a game high 186 yards on 10 attempts and three touchdowns. Junior Rashaun Coleman added a touchdown on the ground as well. The Spartans will look to get back into the win column when they play the Falcons on Saturday.
