The incident happened in the vestibule of the victim’s building just after midnight on Sept. 27. After following the woman, the suspect grabbed the woman’s buttocks, authorities said. The victim then screamed and the suspect fled southbound on Jamaica Avenue. Cops have released a video of the suspect entering the building, and describe him as Hispanic and in his late teens. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477). 106th Precinct South central Queens Man sought in 2013 Richmond Hill murder Police are looking for a man wanted in connection to the deadly shooting of a 23-year-old in Richmond Hill last December. Gerrard Edwards was near Liberty Avenue and 112th Street at about 3:30 a.m. on Dec. 22 when he was shot, cops said. He was killed after he got into a dispute with a group of men while out with some friends and was then jumped and shot several times in the chest, according to published reports. Edwards, a Richmond Hill resident, was taken to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities describe the suspect, David Haridat, 31, as 5 feet 4 inches and about 150 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477). 110th Precinct Corona and Elmhurst Armed robber stole more than $4K from Queens Zoo: NYPD Police are looking for a suspect who held up two employees at the Queens Zoo on the afternoon of Sept. 28, taking off with thousands in cash. The armed robbery, first reported by NYC Park Advocates, happened around 4:30 p.m., an hour before closing at the Flushing Meadows Corona Park zoo, according to authorities. The suspect allegedly came up to two zoo workers and displayed a gun. He then pointed the weapon at one of the employees, while the other filled a bag with $4,873, cops said. The suspect then fled. Authorities describe the suspect as Hispanic, around 30 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 150 pounds. The suspect first broke into VIP Barber Shop at 64-33 108th St. around 3 a.m. on Sept. 5 by going through a skylight, according to authorities. Once inside, he took a Samsung TV and $100 in cash. Just 30 minutes later and a few doors down, he entered a food store, Berezka, at 64-51 108th St., through a basement door and stole $7,000 in cash, cops said. Police have released a photo of the suspect and said he was seen exiting and entering a small sedan. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (8477). 113th Precinct St. Albans, Hollis, Springfield Gardens, South Ozone Park, Jamaica, Addisleigh Park and Locust Manor LI man busted with loaded gun while drinking wine on Queens sidewalk A Long Island man with several prior arrests was busted again on Oct.5 when he was caught on a St. Albans sidewalk with a loaded gun while sipping wine from an open container, police said. Ronnie Woody, 31, was enjoying his drink at the corner of 205th Street and 116th Avenue at about 11:45 p.m. when plainclothes NYPD officers in an unmarked vehicle saw him take a sip from a clear plastic cup and rest it on top of a parked car, authorities said. Woody, after noticing the vehicle, allegedly placed his hand on an object tucked into his waistband, moving it, exposing what was apparently a handle of a gun. The cops found a .32 cal. Smith & Wesson revolver on him and also discovered he was carrying a small quantity of crack cocaine, police said. Woody, who has an arrest history that includes narcotics-related offenses, rape and armed robbery, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance and a violation for drinking alcohol from an open container in public, authorities said. Two children killed in St. Albans fire Two young brothers were killed in a St. Albans fire after candles were left unattended in their home, according to authorities. The fire, at a two-story residence at 188-15 Tioga Dr., broke out around 7:10 p.m. on Sept. 6 in the living room on the first floor, engulfing the home, the FDNY said. It took about 45 minutes to bring the blaze under control. Fire officials found a candle melted on the floor near the sofa, where the flames ignited. Witnesses said the family used candles, which were found throughout the home, in prayer ceremonies, according to the FDNY. There were no smoke detectors on the first and second floors of the home. Smoke detectors in the basement failed to go off. Two boys, Andrew Kavanagh, 6, and John Kavanagh, 11, were discovered on the second floor and taken to Queens Hospital Center, where they died, police said. A third victim, a 33-year-old man, was transported to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition after he jumped from a window to escape, authorities said. He sustained injuries to his hands and feet. The man’s exact relationship to the children was not immediately clear, but police said it does not appear he is related to them. Two firefighters also suffered minor injuries, according to the FDNY. 114th Precinct Astoria, Long Island City, Woodside and Jackson Heights Police looking for thief who took woman’s bag from Astoria subway station A man stole a bag from an Astoria subway station and then tried to use the victim’s debit card to take out cash, authorities said. The suspect took the bag, which contained her debit card, credit cards and a MacBook Pro laptop, from a bench at the 31st Street and Astoria Boulevard stop at about 6 p.m. on Sept. 5, according to police. He then attempted to use the victim’s debit card at a deli located at 2572 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. in Harlem, but was unable to retrieve any money, authorities said. Police describe the suspect as black, about 35 years old and 6 feet tall.
